Meeting Minutes 4/16/23 - Project Day

On Sunday April 16th, the Wild Wescotts 4-H club met at the Wentworth Library in Bloomington to do our project day. During the project day, club members learned to create several project starters, including fluid art, fishing lures, photography exhibits, and hot air balloons.

First, Abby led the fluid art starter (Fine Arts project area), and then Eldora taught the group how to make fishing lures (Fishing project area).

Then, Harrison talked to the group about judging day and what to expect. After that, Harrison and Eldora demonstrated a mock-judging for the group.

Then, Braxton led the group in a photography starter, where club members wandered the library and took photos of leading lines. Finally, Abby taught the group how to make hot air balloons (Aerospace project area).

Following our Project Day activities, Braxton called the meeting to order at 4:00pm. We said the pledges, and roll call was taken. All in all, there were about 15 people present.

Old business included reminders to enroll in 4-H for any families who have not already done so, and a conversation about our paint-by-number activity last month. Also, a reminder that upcoming events can be found on the calendar.

Under new business, the youth leadership team proposed making a club banner to display at the country fair. The motion carried, and there will be more info to come. Our next meeting is going to be Fishing and Kayaking on Sunday, May 21 10:30-12:00pm. More information will be sent out in email.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:10pm by a motion, second, and unanimous vote.
